Biocompatible restorative dentistry is here!

In the past, fillings were exclusively made of a silver material called amalgam. While it does a wonderful job of restoring a tooth’s strength, it always leaves a very noticeable gray mark that makes many patients self-conscious.

This is why, at Hu Smiles in RentonGet more information on our homepage, we only use tooth-colored fillings to fix cavities and slightly damaged teeth.

Made of a composite resin, Dr. Hu can specially color these fillings to blend in seamlessly with the rest of your smile. This allows us to repair your teeth while not altering your appearance.

The end result is a beautiful, metal-free filling that is bonded to your damaged tooth to improve its structure and look. You can smile with confidence once again!

Many people feel like they have to hide something whenever they smile. It could be a decayed tooth or even a missing one, but in any case, they’re embarrassed about showing their teeth.

At Hu Smiles in RentonLearn about us on the homepage, Dr. Hu offers two treatments that can address these exact kinds of problems: Crowns and Bridges. When it comes to rebuilding your smile, they are part of the elite!

What is a dental crown?

If you have any of the following problems, we can fix them using a dental crown:

  • A decayed tooth
  • A cracked or broken tooth
  • A misshapen tooth
  • A tooth that has been weakened

A dental crown is a tooth-shaped restoration that simply slips over the top of a natural tooth in order to bring back both its appearance and function.

This treatment is excellent because it won’t just make your tooth look great again, but you’ll be able to rely on it whenever you eat or smile. We can use a crown to repair any tooth in your mouth, and with the proper maintenance, they can easily last for more than ten years.

What is a dental bridge?

Do you have a tooth or a row of consecutive teeth missing? If so, a dental bridge could be the perfect solution.

For this treatment, Dr. Hu simply applies crowns to the teeth surrounding the gap, and these will then be attached to prosthetic teeth that will literally “bridge” the space between them. It’s just that simple!

With this treatment, we can restore your confidence in your smile and prevent a variety of problems that can occur due to missing teeth.

Dental Implants

Safe. Gentle. Efficient.

Our first priority is always to preserve your natural teeth, but sometimes the best course of treatment may involve extracting one.

This can be the case if:

  • A tooth is too damaged to be repaired

  • Advanced gum disease has deteriorated the bone beneath a tooth

  • Room is needed for a partial or full denture

  • Room is needed for orthodontic treatment

  • A weakened tooth will be replaced with a stronger dental implant

  • An impacted (stuck) or infected wisdom tooth needs to be removed

We’ll always use a gentle touch when performing your extraction. We’ll also answer any questions you might have, and we’ll sufficiently numb the area using a local anesthetic.

Often, patients are completely unaware of when their tooth is removed because Dr. Hu’s touch is so gentle.

In the case of a wisdom tooth extraction, you’ll be put under a gentle form of general anesthesia, so you’ll be asleep during your treatment and will have little to no memory of it afterward.
